71% of tourists in Gujarat are from within the state

Tourism in Gujarat appears to be mostly fuelled by people living within the state itself. In the year 2018-19, some 71.5% of the total 3.26 crore tourists who visited tourist places in Gujarat were from the state itself, according to data by Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Limited (TCGL)
