Only 43% kids in Gujarat make it to Class XI

While the Gujarat government claims that 100% of children in enrol in schools because of its Shala Pravesh Utsav programme, only 43% of children make it to Class XI, with the rest either failing Class X or dropping out. The dropout rate for girls at the Class XI level is 59%.
