$1: Cost of personal details of US citizen; 2 held for cheating

Data is the new oil’ is an oft heard catchphrase these days. Ahmedabad police learned of the valuation of this oil, $1 for personal details of a US citizen, when they arrested two men from the city for cheating Americans using the lure of payday loans. The accused would also sell such data of US citizens to others running similar ‘con call centres’ and cheating Americans.
