Miss World Deaf shares her story of persistence

Most kids who have hearing impairment since birth tend to face major trouble with speech too. But the journey of Vidisha Baliyan, who was the Miss World Deaf for the year 2019, was different! Baliyan, a hearing impaired since childhood, became the first Indian to have won a beauty pageant for the specially-abled (deaf). She was in Ahmedabad on Saturday at an interactive session organized by Apollo Hospital, where she shared her eventful and inspiring journey from being an athlete to a beauty pageant winner.
