Gujarat reported deaths of 28 Covid-19 patients in 24 hours on Monday taking the death toll to 1,506. The deaths include 23 from Ahmedabad, four from Surat and one from Aravalli. Gujarat is second in India in terms of deaths after Maharashtra and among three states - along with Delhi - that have recorded 1,000-plus deaths. Gujarat also recorded its second highest daily tally of 514 Covid-19 cases in 24 hours taking total to 24,104.
