The government has again drawn the Gujarat high court’s ire over its inept handling of the migrant worker crisis during the lockdown. The court termed 33 labourers arrested for rioting outside Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) last month as the “victims” and “not criminals”, and said that instead of arranging for their return, they were sent to jail.
