New law likely on lines of UP goonda control Act

The Gujarat government is looking to introduce a new Act that will be modelled along the lines of the Uttar Pradesh Control of Goondas Act, to control crime in the state. Sources in the government said the new law can either be introduced as a legislation in the assembly session next month or will be promulgated as an ordinance.
