Surat officials turned blind eye to illegal dome

Takshahila Aracade, where 19 students died in fire, was an illegal structure operating right under the nose of Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC). The huge dome erected on the terrace illegally is clearly visible on Varachha Road, but the civic officials conveniently turned a blind eye to it.
